ASHLEY TILLMAN

Ashley Tillman (she/her) is a dance movement artist residing and creating in Lenapehoking, Brooklyn, NY. In 2019, she earned her BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield, complemented by a minor in Business.

Rooted in the belief that an invisible network intricately binds us, Ashley's artistic work serves as a dynamic exploration of the interconnectedness that defines our shared humanity. Through unlayering and unweaving these threads, she aims to find witness of the expansive possibilities of the bodys reach.

Her artistic expression and movement practices venture into the radicality of the body, investigating the polar spectrums of intimacy and virtuosic agency. Ashley's artistic dream is to build upon the continual reframing of her bodily knowledge, as she relentlessly endeavors to unveil her authentic, unfixed self.
